  • We offer a wide range of cuisines and themes to suit your retreat's ambiance. We make menus rooted in each season and what’s available at local farms. We’re happy to help carry out specific visions.

  • We prioritize supporting local, organic farms here in California. We minimize food waste by donating surplus food to charities, composting organic waste, and offering leftovers to retreat attendees to take home or repurpose.

  • We calculate travel based on the distance to the retreat location from East Bay, where our home team is. The charges cover transportation costs, tolls, and travel time. These fees are outlined in our pricing or contract. We aim to be transparent and provide a clear breakdown of travel expenses to ensure a fair and mutually agreed-upon arrangement.

  • We kindly request comfortable accommodations are provided, shared or private. Our chefs work long hours and often start their day earlier than most participants to ensure each meal is prepared with care.

  • We value collaboration in the kitchen and greatly appreciate the assistance of extra hands. For retreats hosting up to 19 attendees, we recommend having a Karam Kitchen Assistant. For groups exceeding 20 attendees, we will provide an additional team member included in your invoice.

  • We cook for various group sizes, from intimate gatherings to larger retreats, up to 50 attendees.
